斯坦福大学（Stanford University）是坐落于美国加利福尼亚州的私立研究型大学，由利兰斯坦福与简斯坦福于1891年建立，以纪念他们的小儿子小利兰斯坦福。学校占地8180英亩，有近700栋建筑物，容纳了近97%的本科生住在校园中。

斯坦福大学目前共有七个学院，本科专业设置以文理学科为主，研究生专业则包括医学、法律、教育学及商学学科。斯坦福为硅谷地区培养了大量高新技术人才，在福布斯网站公布的根据校友排名的榜单中，斯坦福大学光荣上榜。在世界大学的42个学科排名中，斯坦福大学共有33个专业进入世界前10，仅次于加州大学伯克利分校（35个）位居世界第二。
